SANDCRAB Lite : Cancer Reporting Software

  • The Texas Cancer Registry (TCR) develops and distributes a free software, SANDCRAB (Statewide Algorithm aNd Database for Cancer Registration and ABatement) Lite, for Windows, to meet the reporting requirements of the Texas Cancer Incidence Reporting Act.
  • SANDCRAB Lite (SCL) is very user friendly and was designed to be used by institutions to report cancer incidence data electronically to the TCR. SCL has on-line edit checking for resolution of errors prior to data submission, pop-up selection boxes for looking up codes and the capability to display or print reference reports from the data entered by the reporting institution. SCL allows cancer cases to be downloaded to diskette or submitted by FTP to the TCR, thus eliminating paper reporting forms.
