Pam Flint, Ph.D.

Position Title:
Associate Director of Clinical Services and Training
Bio:

I have over 20 years of experience providing personal and career counseling at the UNT’s Counseling and Testing Services.  In 2015, I was promoted to Associate Director of Clinical Director and Training. My first career was as a psychiatric nurse in the DFW area. This afforded me the opportunity to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Animal Assisted Therapy is my passion. I started the Animal Assisted Therapy Program at UNT in 2002 with our first therapy dog, Roxy. My current therapy animals are Dakota and Willow, both are Labrador Retrievers.

I am a certified Master Trainer for QPR, a suicide prevention program. This program is offered in group format to university students, faculty and staff at no cost. This program is typically offered on a monthly basis in the fall and spring semester, check the UNT calendar for upcoming trainings. QPR trainings are also offered for specific groups when requested.

I am a certified instructor for QuitSmart, a successful smoking cessation program offered to students at no cost.
