Great Grad and Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science student David Yue has worn many hats during his time here. With interests in technology, science, business and public policy, David isn’t sure which direction his life will take, but he plans to attend either Stanford University or Yale University for the next phase of his education. We can’t wait to see you walk across the stage, David. You make us #UNTproud!

The University of North Texas System portals provide access to academic and business processes for the UNT System.

UNT conducts periodic emergency drills, exercises and training sessions to better prepare for events that could impact the university. On Friday, May 3 at Apogee Stadium, in partnership with the City of Denton emergency responders, the university will be conducting an emergency exercise training drill. The exercise will begin at 10 a.m. with staging at 8 a.m. The emergency exercise training drill is expected to conclude around 1 p.m.

As part of the drill, UNT also will test i...ts Eagle Alert System Friday morning. Find out more about Eagle Alert: https://www.unt.edu/eaglealert

UNT also will have some drill activity at Discovery Park, which will NOT result in a disruption of classes or business there. Parking should not be impacted either.

Buses routed to Victory Hall will be re-routed to Lot 86, and students in Lot 85 will receive specific communications. After the drill, parking and bus routes will return to normal. This drill will not result in disruption of classes or businesses.

To allow for an impactful training, we ask that you avoid Apogee Stadium, Victory Hall and surrounding buildings during this time.

20 years ago today I asked Kristen to marry me during a live UNT Department of Communication Studies performance at University of North Texas. I'm so thankful s...he said yes. She's an amazing woman, wonderful mom and a fun friend.

And we're both forever grateful to our professor and dear friend Kelly Taylor for allowing us to hijack the end of her show.

At the library, but over studying? Celebrate #WorldBookDay by checking out the UNT Libraries Rare Book and Texana Collections! They house rare and unusual items like scrolls, books, posters, maps, artwork, artifacts, games, photographs and more.

The book pictured is one of the smallest books in the world. Fun fact – the book is so small it was once dropped and couldn’t be found! The library staff had to close off the room in which it was housed with a strict “no vacuuming” r...ule until the book was recovered. Now it’s carefully preserved in clear housing. The book on the left is a larger version of that tiny red rectangle in the circle on the right: the actual book!
