Indoor Practice Facility
As a part of the initial phase of the Light The Tower Master Plan, North Texas broke ground on an Indoor Practice Facility in September, 2018. It is slated for completion in summer, 2019.
The Indoor Practice Facility will be located just off South Bonnie Brae Street, adjacent to the Athletic Center and the Victory Hall dorm, and will:
- Provide a temperature-controlled environment for practice during inclement and hot weather
- Feature elevated photography/videography platforms
- Contain a full-length football field and track running lanes
- Include a lobby, restrooms and a lounge for entertaining recruits
- Maximize student-athlete safety and time-efficiency
- Allow UNT to stay competitive with other universities in the conference and region
- Be football focused but also a multi-sport facility, and provide flexibility for other events
- Provide a positive visual connection to Apogee Stadium and reinforce campus identity from Interstate 35E
