Early Career Award for Research and Creativity

Award Description:

This award is given to a full-time University faculty member within their first 10 years in a full-time appointment whose research accomplishments or creative endeavors have been outstanding and whose scholarly/creative products are considered to have had high impact in the faculty member's discipline and/or on society. The recipient receives a prize of $3,000, a plaque commemorating the achievement, and recognition at key university venues. 

Eligibility:

Any full time tenured or tenure track faculty member who is within the first 10 years of their full-time faculty appointment and is below the rank of Full Professor and has never won the award is eligible to be nominated by one or more UNT faculty or administrators. 

Nomination and Submission Procedures:

Self-nomination is also acceptable.  Nominations are evaluated by a panel of UNT faculty and administrators who make recommendations to the Vice President for Research and Innovation and the Provost.
