Enabling Health Technologies, 4:00 - 6:30 pm, Discovery Park, Nandika D'Souza

Aging and disability can impact activities of daily living thereby affecting independence and quality of life. The focus of the summit is to dialogue on the opportunities to provide programs and services to persons with disability enabled through new technologies, education practices and support systems. The advent of virtual reality, autonomous vehicles, robotics, data science, smart materials, 3D printing, and new infrastructure building practices make new solutions feasible. Researchers and community support groups are invited to present posters or exhibit tables to showcase their work. Opportunities to seek support from foundations and research grants will be discussed. The goal is to have researchers, community members and other stakeholders discover and formalize new collaborative relationships that result in solutions.  Optional tours of the engineering and computer science facilities will be available.
