Welcome from the PLP Director!

We are excited to have you as part of the PLP family. We exist to give UNT students a space to strengthen their leadership style, expand their professional networks, and grow in key marketable skill development.

This year, the Professional Leadership Program (PLP) celebrates 25 years of investing in the next generation of global leaders. One unique and distinct feature of PLP is the one-on-one mentoring and coaching our students receive from mentors in a wide range of industries, from both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors of the global marketplace. Our mentors assist us in fulfilling our commitment to the development of our students through mentorship and professional development. Additionally, we believe in giving back to those who give to us. We seek to invest in our mentors, giving them a platform to network among professionals, and providing training on how to empower and enable growing leaders within their own organizations.

Our alumni are among the best from UNT. We are honored to have many of our them engaged in their respective communities, pursuing their own entrepreneurial endeavors, or contributing their expertise to organizations largely concentrated in the DFW market. However, with the combination of the high impact mentorship PLP offers and their academic success at UNT, these alumni and current PLP students are moving into positions global at a rapid pace.

PLP is committed to continuing our pursuit of building a legacy of servant leadership among all of our stakeholders, furthering the employability skill development of our students, and providing invaluable resources to the next generation of global leaders.
