Family and Medical Leave

Policy description: 

The University of North Texas (UNT) observes the federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) of August 5, 1993. Under FMLA, UNT faculty and staff who have been employed for a total of at least 12 months of state service and have worked at least 1,250 hours during the 12 month period immediately preceding the beginning of FMLA leave are eligible to be considered for leave.
