Meet Deana Ayers, one of our two moderators for tomorrow's City Council Candidate Forum!
Deana Ayers is a junior at the University of North Texas, pursuing a b...achelor of social work degree with a minor in political science. She represents all undergraduate social work students on the Texas Political Action for Candidate Election Committee of NASW Texas.
Her interests lie in community building, political advocacy, and social justice. As a young woman working toward a political future, Deana is a senator for the UNT Student Government Association, the Vice President of IGNITE at UNT, and the social outreach chair for the UNT College Democrats.
She is also involved in the reproductive justice movement as a student blogger for URGE and a Next Generation Fellow for NARAL Texas, as well as serving as the outreach director for the Reproductive Rights Organization of Student Educators at UNT
