Grad Track Pathway- BA/Masters Program

The Department of Political Science offers a five year BA/Masters program for highly motivated Political Science majors, who have maintained at least a 3.5 GPA. Students should apply during their Junior year to this program. Students are eligible for acceptance (at the end of their Junior year) upon completion of 75 undergraduate hours, including PSCI 1040, PSCI 1050, PSCI 2300, and three advanced PSCI classes (3000/4000 level) from three different fields, the submission of a writing sample, three letters of recommendation, a statement of purpose, a resume, and the submission of an application to the Toulouse Graduate School.

In lieu of 4 advanced undergraduate electives in the 4th year, student will take PSCI 5340, 6320, and two of 5310, 5610, 6000, 6321, 6900. Submission of GRE scores is not required.

Undergraduate students who have been accepted to this program must complete all of their bachelor's degree requirements and graduate within 12 months of the first day of the semester for which they were admitted to the accelerated program or enrollment in graduate level course work will be suspended.

Admitted students will take twelve graduate hours during their senior year, which will also count toward their BA, as permitted by University rules.
