**Introducing JAMP Camp 2019!**

The 2019 UNT JAMP Camp is a FREE week-long program to help prepare new incoming freshmen pre-medical students for rigorous college courses. The program will provide an introduction to science and math classes, as well as exposure to some aspects of the medical school curriculum through interaction with faculty and medical students at UNTHSC-TCOM.

Place: University of North Texas, (Denton) and UNT Health Science Center-Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (Fort Worth).

Date: June 2 - 9, 2019

Cost: Free to eligible students (see eligibility below)

Deadline for application & supporting materials: April 15, 2019 @ 5:00 p.m.

• UNT College Preparedness student panel
• Classes with Biology, Chemistry, English, Physics and Mathematics faculty
• Medical Ethics Workshop
• Medical Student Mentoring

• Live in a UNT residence hall from June 2-9, 2019.
• All meals and transportation to the UNTHSC-TCOM are included (students will not be allowed to take their own vehicles).
• All class and laboratory materials will be included at no cost to students.

What is JAMP?

JAMP, the Joint Admission Medical Program, is a Texas state-wide program that helps students coming from an underserved or low socio-economic background become physicians. If a student is selected to be a JAMPer and maintains all eligibility requirements, an interview will be extended to the student by each Texas medical school, with a direct entry into one of the medical schools.
