If you have witnessed or experienced sexual harassment or discrimination at UNT, contact us for advice or help in filing a complaint. Anyone who is aware of a suspected violation of the policies prohibiting discrimination/harassment is obligated to notify us.  Faculty and staff should report these to their immediate supervisor and us.  Students should report violations to the administrative director or chair of the department in which the alleged incident occurred and us. We also have a Title IX Coordinator and ADA Coordinator to ensure UNT’s compliance with specific UNT policies such as sexual harassment and discrimination.

UNT Police Department

Student Legal Services

We provide mediation services by assisting students in resolving disputes before they reach a level requiring official academic or disciplinary action. We also provide free legal advice to students for civil/consumer complaints. You can find more information at UNT Student Legal Services.

Survivor Advocate

If you have experienced sexual harassment or assault, contact me in the Dean of Students office. I will connect you to resources and act as your advocate. I can assist you with filing protective orders, completing crime victim’s compensation applications, contacting professors for absences related to an assault, working with the UNT Office of Housing and Residential Life to facilitate a room change, if needed, and connecting you to the many other resources that are available, both on and off campus.
