About this Event

The Eagle Commons Library is hosting an exhibit of NASA-related materials from the UNT collections in honor of National Library Week, the 60th Anniversary of NASA and the upcoming 50th anniversary of the first moon landing.

This exhibit provides a look at the history of NASA and how the agency has contributed to our daily lives through research, technological developments, and education since its inception on October 1, 1958. July 20 will mark the 50th anniversary of the landmark Apollo 11 mission moon landing.

Books, posters, photos, educational games, and 3D models will all be on display.

A reception will be held on April 8, 2019, launching both the exhibit and UNT Libraries’ National Library Week festivities. Join us from 10 a.m. to noon for cake, a tour of the exhibit, space crafts, and a virtual-reality moon walk hosted by The Factory.
