About this Event

In this workshop you will learn the process of joining two pieces of metal together using solder, a filler metal. This process of joining two pieces of metal together is often misunderstood and confused with welding, the main difference being that here the working piece is not melted with the other material. In welding both the working and the conjoining piece are melted together to form an absolute bond.

An example of this application is found in most electrically engaged manufacturing companies. The electrical components are what is required for the functionality of many of the products that we use today. Those products are soldered on a professional level and are very strictly regulated. This ensures the component is working properly and implies that the soldering process was completed correctly.
