For the first meeting of the Critical Digital Pedagogy Faculty Network’s reading group, we’ll be discussing “</Parentheses>: Digital Humanities and the Place of Pedagogy,” Brett D. Hirsch’s introduction to Digital Humanities Pedagogy. There is a free e-book edition available via the UNT Libraries website: https://iii.library.unt.edu/record=b4373253~S12. While the overall volume focuses on humanities, the stakes Hirsch describes are applicable across disciplines and would be of potential interest to anyone with an interest in pedagogy and educational technology. Deborah Caldwell (MLIS candidate, College of Information) will facilitate our discussion.
If you have suggestions for additional readings and/or would like to facilitate a future discussion, please email spencer.keralis@unt.edu.
