Who is this for?

The Prospective Student Advising Session is for any prospective freshman or transfer student who is interested in attending, or already has applied to the University of North Texas with an interest in the College of Education.

What is it?

This session provides an opportunity for a prospective freshman or transfer student to learn about UNT's College of Education academic programs and review how previous course work, if any, applies to these programs. This session is designed to give a personalized, yet brief, overview of the college, majors, admission requirements, and application procedures.

If a student provides transcripts, in advance, of transfer, dual, AP, or IB credit, we will review how these credits might apply at UNT. We will also provide Transfer Guides if you want to complete additional courses at a Texas community college prior to attending UNT.

How do I prepare for the session?

  • Register for a session through Appointment Manager using the links above.

  • Send copies of all transcripts, college and/or high school, at least 2 business days before the session.

Email: coe-sao@unt.edu

Fax: 940-565-2728, attn: PSAS

In person: Matthews Hall 105

  • Prepare for travel and parking conditions. If you are more than 14 minutes late to your session, you will be asked to reschedule for another available session.

  • Bring note-taking materials, such as, notepad, notebook, pen, pencils, etc.

Where do I park?

UNT's Inclement Weather Procedures

When university officials think weather conditions pose a significant threat to the safety of students, faculty and staff who drive to campus, UNT will delay its opening time, close early or close for the day. Please check www.unt.edu if the weather poses hazardous driving conditions.
