HPS IT Services

Jackie Thames leads HPS IT Services staff by ensuring they have the tools, training and resources needed to support HPS students, faculty, and staff.  In this role she:

• plans for the future technology needs of HPS students, faculty and staff
• prioritizes and leads IT projects
• develops the HPS IT funding model and budget requests
• ensures the security of HPS facilities, equipment, and networks
• serves as building rep for Chilton Hall

Vasilis Angelogiannos leads the technical support and lab staff, and is responsible for:

• HPS servers and network storage
• user account management
• HPS subnet security
• suspected phishing email and account breach
• new equipment specs, including desktops, laptops, printers, and servers
• software/hardware purchases
• equipment exception request approvals for the college
• department budget review and management

Chu Chuah is responsible for our technical support area.  In this role, his responsibilities include

• supervising tech support part-time staff
• assigning work requests to technicians
• ensuring the work is done right the first time
• developing desktop and laptop images
• piloting VDI deployment with the UNT System’s ITSS division
• System Center Configuration Manager

Martin Coleman is responsible for the HPS technology classrooms and Student Computer Labs, as well as assisting with faculty/staff technical support.  His work includes

• installation and maintenance of classroom and lab desktops and laptops
• network distribution of software for classrooms and labs
• user account management
• printer installations, maintenance and repair
• asset management
• digital signage installation and maintenance

Our HPS web developer John Mayfield is responsible for the HPS college and department websites.  John works closely with the HPS marketing director and department web admins to develop and maintain all college websites. His daily work includes:

• updating the current HPS website
• developing a new HPS website
• assisting departments with issues and edits to their websites
• serving as resource for Drupal end-user development and e-commerce applications
