I   am a Professor and the Chair of the Department of Information Science in the College of Information at the University of North Texas. The Department of Information Science offers programs at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels. Our programs are nationally recognized. The Master of Science program is accredited by the American Library Association. We also offer the nation's largest interdisciplinary PhD program in Information Science. Our vision is to became globally recognized excellence in preparing leading information professionals, advancing knowledge, and serving the data and information professions.

My teaching and research areas include Information Retrieval and Access, Digital Libraries, Data Science, and Information Systems Design. I welcome talented undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students to join UNT Intelligent Information Access Lab and participate in Information Science and Data Science related research and development.
