  2. Students should apply only to those scholarships for which they are qualified. IS cannot award scholarships to non-qualified applicants.  Students should not apply for every scholarship. No student qualifies for all scholarships.  Applications that blanket-check every scholarship will not be considered.
  3. Criteria for selection and award includes, but is not limited to: completeness of application, current and past graduate and undergraduate GPA, admission status, strength of cover letter, and strength of letters of recommendation. Awards are not based on need.
  4. Incomplete applications will not be considered, and IS will NOT inform a student if his or her application is incomplete.
  5. All application information, including GPA, IP address, etc. will be verified by the Scholarship Committee. Fraudulent applications will not be considered and will be turned over to the UNT Academic Integrity Office.
  6. Students should ask for faculty and employer recommendations early.
