UNT-Collin College Transfer Scholarship

This is a renewable $1,000 annual award intended to assist Collin College students transferring to UNT.

Scholarship Consideration

Students transferring to UNT from any Collin College campus are automatically considered for this scholarship on the basis of their completed UNT application. Students who meet the initial eligibility requirements will be notified via email of their qualification and will receive additional instructions on how to accept the award. Please note that these scholarships are subject to available funding with priority consideration given to the earliest applicants.

Initial Eligibility

To be eligible for the scholarship, students must:

  • Be a first-time undergraduate student transferring to UNT directly from Collin College
  • Be admitted by January 9th for Spring 2019 consideration
  • Have a 2.25 minimum overall cumulative GPA (includes all community college hours)
  • Have attempted at least 30, but not more than 90, semester credit hours
    • Attempted hours include any earned through dual credit
    • BAAS students should meet with their advisor to have workforce credit evaluated
  • Take at least 12 UNT hours each fall and spring term (full-time status)

Annual Renewal

This scholarship may be renewed for one year (two consecutive long semesters). To maintain eligibility a student must:

  • Be continuously enrolled full-time each fall and spring semester (excludes summer terms)
  • Maintain a minimum cumulative UNT GPA of 2.25; and,
  • Complete a minimum of 24 UNT hours each year during the spring and fall

Non-Texas Residents and International Students

  • Non-Texas residents, including international students, are eligible to receive this scholarship.
  • Please note that receipt of this scholarship does not waive out-of-state tuition for non-Texas residents or international students.
