UNT launched the 1+2+1 China Transfer Program in 2012.

The Program accepts students in the fields of business, science, engineering and hospitality management. 

Students who have begun their undergraduate study in participating Chinese universities are encouraged to apply to the University of North Texas. There are more than 20 majors for China Transfer Program students to choose from. 

UNT receives applications in March, and students that are accepted will spend two to three years of study at UNT and then spend their final year at their Chinese Universities. Upon completion of all UNT degree requirements, students will receive a degree from the University of North Texas and will also be eligible to receive a degree from their Chinese universities according to the requirements of those universities. Various services will be provided to help students settle in at UNT, as well as services to provide continued support throughout their studies.
