IN MEMORIAM: Nicholas Ricco, Sr., for whom, along with his wife Anna, our #UNTCoM Music Dean’s Suite is named, died over the weekend.

We honor his service to his family, our country, the University of North Texas and the UNT College of Music. Here he and Anna, along with family, are shown during the ribbon cutting of the music dean's suite in June 2018. Service details are being finalized and will be posted here.

The generous legacy of the Ricco family will continue to be felt across the UNT campus. #UNTProud

As a freshman music major back in 2005, what drew me to UNT was the campus and the city of Denton. U...NT is a large campus with a small town feel, and that was just perfect for me. Majoring in music at UNT is the best decision I could have made for my personal growth as a musician, and for my career. UNT prepared me not only to teach band, but I also learned how to face and overcome challenges in the real world, and I met many influential teachers and friends along the way. All of these people are still helping shape my life personally and professionally. Go Mean Green!! See More
