Blaine Rideout was a member of "The Flying Twins," the medley relay team that set a world record in 1938.

Rideout teamed with twin brother Wayne and twins Elmer and Delmer Brown to set the record at the Millrose Games in New York City before 16,000 fans.

He was elected to the NAIA Track and Field Hall of Fame in 1955.
