Will Rath begins his first year with the North Texas athletic department as an athletic trainer working directly with the men’s basketball, men’s golf, and assisting with the football team.
Prior to joining the Mean Green, Rath was at Arkansas State as an assistant athletic trainer, primarily working with the Red Wolf men’s basketball team. Rath also was the athletic trainer for the men’s and women’s golf teams. In addition, he oversaw the daily operations of the athletic training room in the basketball arena.
Before Arkansas State, Rath was an athletic trainer at the University of Missouri where he worked with the Tiger football, wrestling, track & field, cheer, and Golden Girl teams. There, he worked with some of the nation’s top athletes who went on to win an Olympic medal and win multiple national titles.
A native of St Louis, Missouri, Rath earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Saint Louis University in 2014. He also earned his master’s in athletic training from Saint Louis University in 2015. Rath is nationally certified athletic trainer and a State of Texas licensed athletic trainer.
