-Was a part of the 4x400-meter relay team that finished sixth at the TCU Invitational with a time of 3:18.17

-Ran hurdles at Decatur High School placing second five times in the 110-meter hurdles and the 300m hurdles
-Finished second with a career-best time of 14.84 at the Keller Invitational
-Placed second in the 300m hurdles at the 7-8 4A Area Championships
-Also competed in high jump, long jump, 4x400m relay during his high school career
