Scope and Contents of the Materials
The collection consists of two boxes of correspondence and papers that once belonged to Arnold Schoenberg's cousin Hans Nachod. It includes many letters from Schoenberg to Nachod, a few from Nachod to Schoenberg, as well as a number of music manuscripts in Schoenberg's hand, among which are early songs and arrangements.Collection Historical Note

The significance of the other numbers remains unclear.

Black ink; 8-stave scrap piece of manuscript paper. "Text von Fritz Fleischer."

Left edge frayed; tearing; foxing; bleed-through; ink smeared. First violin part for the march and trio of Schoenberg's Birthday March. Final eight measures: rescored on verso in darker ink and clearer hand.
