The University of North Texas Ready Reference Collection contains publications that document the development of the university. The items date from 1890 to present. The publications include documents from departments, schools, colleges, and organizations on campus. They include brochures, handouts, informational booklets or catalogs, calendars and maps. A few of the most used items include the Avesta, the Normal Journal, the Fact Books, Bulletins, catalogs (undergraduate and graduate), class schedules, and the North Texan. The documents are filed under the primary name of the department (Music, Department/School/College) or the name of the department at the time the item was printed (Art, Department of; currently the Visual Arts and Design, College of).
