• Earned honorable mention all-state honors from the Texas Associated Press Sports Editors and all-area honors from the Dallas Morning News
• His father, Lee, played at North Texas from 1978-81 and was a four-year letterman as a running back, rushing for 1,028 yards and five touchdowns
