Welcome to the UNT Summer String Institute!

We are excited to welcome you to our 6th anniversary season of the UNT Summer String Institute. Students can choose only one session or attend both. Private lessons, chamber music, string orchestra, clinics, masterclasses, and concerts will be the focus of an intense workshop for violinists, violists, cellists, double bassists, and pianists. Our internationally acclaimed UNT string faculty and esteemed guest artists will share their ample knowledge and expertise with our students. All this in the rich and wonderful environment of the UNT College of Music with its great facilities in the the heart of North Texas and the Dallas - Fort Worth Metroplex.

We look forward to seeing you at UNT in July 2019. Follow us on Facebook for current updates.

Best wishes,

Features Of Our Program

We  provide an exclusive lesson setting that is tailored to individual attention for each student. Compared to other summer camps, we offer a truly unique experience: with three private lessons in six days our participants will benefit from an intense and nurturing learning environment. In addition to private lessons, chamber music and orchestra experience  will provide a platform for students to communicate with each other through music as the universal language. Pre-college and collegiate sessions are being offered to all ages. These include master classes, clinics, faculty- student recitals, wellness and stress reduction sessions, and Region and All-state audition preparation.

Low tuition and housing expenses make our institute affordable to everyone.  A meal plan for commuters is available as well. All events are on UNT campus and within a five-minute walk to the dormitories and cafeterias.

Join us for a truly wonderful and unique, musical experience on UNT campus.
