• During Sun Belt Conference play, appeared in all 18 games and led the team with 19 blocks
• Scored in double-figures five times, including a career-high 16 points at Appalachian State
• Posted his first career double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds against Georgia State
High School Highlights
• Simmons averaged 15.7 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 5.2 assists during his senior season at Pace High School
• Was named the Pensacola News Journal Player of the Year at Pace High School in Florida
• Helped the Patriots to the quarterfinals of the Class 6A Regional scoring 23 points
• Played in the 2016 Pensacola Sports/Subway All-Star Game scoring 17 points, including 11 in the second half
• Played for the U.S. Virgin Islands U17 team and was voted the best small forward at the FIBA Centrobasket in the summer of 2015
• Led by Mean Green assistant Jareem Dowling, the junior national team competed in the FIBA Tournament of Americas and averaged 11.4 points, 11.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists in five games played
