    Did you know that members of the Green Jackets have been student leaders at UNT for 93 years? This service and spirit organization was founded in 1926 by Buelah Harriss, the first woman to be hired into our athletics department.

    This little Eagle's smile sums up how thrilled we are to share this incredible piece of history — an official uniform from the 1940s! It belonged to member Daphne Joy Drummond ('50) and was recently donated to by her family.

    I received two of these today: Outstanding PhD Student in Creative Writing from , and one of four Outstanding Teaching Fellows from the University. I was blown away by how many accomplished people I stood beside. Go Mean Green.
