A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 for the new UNT dining hall.
With a wide variety of cuisine options and the latest in kitchen technology, the new facility will seat 750 people and includes space for a retail operation.
During his remarks, UNT President and self-described “foodie” Neal Smatresk described the new building as an addition to the campus that will “match the innovative spirit of our school.”
The new dining hall is being constructed near UNT's new Welcome Center, west of Avenue A between the Business Leadership Building and Highland Street Garage. It is projected to open in Fall 2020.
