Safety Coordinator Program

The Safety Coordinator Program is an effort by UNT Emergency Management to help ensure that there are people in every campus building who know what actions to take during an emergency and who can assist those around them. Safety Coordinators are full-time faculty or staff who have received training to assist their fellow building occupants during an emergency.

The training and information that Safety Coordinators receive are practical and invaluable knowledge no matter where an emergency takes place. By becoming a Safety Coordinator, you are taking control of your own preparedness and you will be empowered to assist those around you on campus or elsewhere. You will receive training, the tools needed to implement your training, and opportunities for recognition in making our campus a safer place.
