Champs Cafeteria

Champs, located next to the Victory Hall student-athlete residences in the Mean Green Village, is open weekdays for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Featuring a diverse cuisine served in a bright, open hall, Champs is one part of a wide variety of dining alternatives at North Texas.

The menus at all the North Texas dining halls change from day to day. Typically, Champs's breakfast menu includes omelets, eggs, ham, hash browns, waffles and pancakes, biscuits and muffins, fruit and cereals.

For lunch and dinner, Champs' entrees include dishes like baked pork chops, fried chicken, brisket, fried catfish, Salisbury steak, mesquite-baked chicken, and regional favorites like enchiladas, chicken tetrazzini, tacos, beef stroganoff and chicken fajitas, as well as vegetarian dishes like eggplant parmesan casserole.

Champs' grill serves up burgers, hot dogs and grilled sandwiches like Champs' own Philly steak sandwich. The pasta station has a variety of pasta choices and sauces, and the Champs pizza oven offers fresh-baked pizza.

There are also soups, vegetables and a salad bar with fresh greens and fruit, as well as bakery goods and deserts like pumpkin pie, chocolate cake, banana split torte, cobblers and cookies.

Like all dining halls at North Texas, Champs's daily menu is posted online.

Students can also avail themselves of the campus' other eating choices: the four other university dining halls, including the vegan Mean Greens at Maple Hall, the University Union's offerings, and retail spots around campus like Khush Roti and Biz Cafe.
