IMPROVEMENT RESEARCH

We are engaged in a deep and long-term exploration of the application of the tenets, tools, and methods of improvement research to develop a science of performance improvement in education.

STATWAY - the Statistics Pathway

In Statway™ students will enroll in a year-long sequence which results in credit for a college-level statistics class. At the conclusion of this sequence, Statway students will have proficiency in developmental math concepts and can move on through an academic program for credit.

QUANTWAY - The Quantitative Literacy Pathway

Quantway™ is a new one semester course, replacing elementary and intermediate algebra, followed by completion of a college-level mathematics course.

BUILDING A TEACHING EFFECTIVENESS NETWORK (BTEN)

The Building a Teaching Effectiveness Network is bringing together leaders in education practice, policy and research to focus on developing and retaining effective teachers in our nation’s schools.

IMPROVING TEACHER INFORMATION SYSTEMS (ITIS)

The ITIS project will gather field leaders involved in the conceptualization, development, implementation, and use of teacher evaluation systems to focus on how these systems are best used to make consequential judgments about teachers, and how they can inform efforts to improve teaching practices more broadly.
