Job Summary and Qualifications
The position will cover biopolymer synthesis. This hire in the Renewable Bioproducts Research Cluster described at www.mtse.unt.edu/bioproducts is part of a multi-year, $25 M investment by UNT in multi-disciplinary research collaborations. The new hire will join an exceptionally productive and collaborative cluster of researchers in biology, chemistry and materials science and engineering (12 faculty). The cluster has broad synergies with the Plant Signaling, Materials Modeling and Energy Clusters. UNT has excellent materials processing, testing, and characterization facilities.  

A record of mentoring graduate students, teaching excellence and interdisciplinary activities is desired. Experience converting plant resources into lubricants, resins and functional materials.
