Our research program focuses on using a zebrafish model to:

  • Study hemostasis and thrombosis
  • Identify hemostatic mutants using ENU mutagenesis
  • Employ mapping and positional cloning methods to identify novel hemostatic genes
  • Develop novel antithrombotic drugs for hemostatic disorders
  • Generate transgenic zebrafish using promoters for hemostatic genes
