Biological Sciences Scholarships
UNDERGRADUATE
Clifton C. and Henryetta C. Doak Charitable Trust Scholarship – Two scholarships. Current or prospective students who will be majoring in the Dept. of Biological Sciences beginning in Fall 2009. Cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher.Graduate (or pending 2009 graduate) of a Texas high school. Application deadline: June 26, 2009. Click here for application form
Outstanding Senior Award – Two scholarships awarded. This is an Honor’s Day scholarship. Student must have a 3.5 or higher overall GPA, and be a current senior in Biological Sciences scheduled to graduate in May, August, or December 2009 to be eligible for consideration.
- David. R. Redden Award – Intended for juniors in Biological
Sciences who are planning to pursue professional degrees in Medicine,
Dentistry, or Veterinary Medicine. This is an Honor’s Day
scholarship. Student must have a 3.5 or higher overall GPA to
be eligible for consideration.
- Gladys Crawford Award in Medical Technology and Cytotechnology – This
award is open to Medical Technology and Cytotechnology students
only. This is an Honor’s Day scholarship. Student must
have a 3.5 or higher overall GPA to be eligible for consideration.
- Fannie Haley Award in Medical Technology – This award
is open to Medical Technology students only. Student must have
an
overall GPA of 3.25 or higher to be eligible for consideration.
- Propath Pathology Medical Services Award – This award is open to Cytotechnology students only. Students must have an overall GPA of 3.25 or higher to be eligible for consideration.
APPLICATION
DEADLINE IS MONDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 2008
1. All scholarships applications require at least two letters of
recommendation, a personal statement from the applicant, as well
as the scholarship application. See Spring 2009 application
form.
2. Student must provide copies of a current UNT transcript, as
well as evaluated copies of transfer credit from other colleges
and universities. These can be picked up in the Registar’s
Office, ESSC 1st floor.
3. Incomplete applications are not eligible.
4. Award funds will be applied to Fall 2009.
