The rapid growth of three dimensional characterization, quantitative analysis, and modeling of materials over the past decade has spawned the first International Conference on 3D Materials Science, set for July 8-12, 2012 in Seven Springs, Pennsylvania.
Abstracts submissions are sought through November 15, 2011, on the following the themes:
- Digital Representation of 3D Microstructures
- Microstructure Property Relationships in 3D
- Image Processing of 2D and 3D Microstructural Data
- 3D Interfaces and Microstructural Evolution
- Experimental Techniques for 3D Data Acquisition
- Storing and Sharing 3D Data
- Future Directions & Challenges for 3D Materials Science
This first-ever conference is sponsored TMS and organized by Alexis Lewis, of the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory, on behalf of the Advanced Characterization, Testing, snd Simulation Committee.
