Welcome

Welcome to the Material Advantage Society at the University of North Texas. Material Science and Engineering offers career choices from fields ranging from aerospace, defense, microelectronics and automotive industries to academic research. The awareness of this fascinating field of engineering is limited to very few people around the world and we as a community take it as a mission to educate and improve the awareness of this field among other UNT students and high school students. With chapter participation we hope to start building your career foundation and enable you with long-term benefits from networking through this international society.

Our society exists to give students interested in materials science and engineering accesses to four of the most preeminent materials societies; The American Ceramic Society (ACerS), Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AIST), ASM International, The Minerals, Metals and Materials Society (TMS).
