Dr. Yu's research has been funded by National Science Foundation, American Iron and Steel Institute, Steel Stud Manufacturer Association, Metal Building Manufacturer Association, and a number of companies. Up to November 2010, Dr. Yu has received total $1.7M external research grants, $15K UNT internal research grants, and $20K external education grants.
