North Texas Athletics Hall of Fame
Ken Garland ran track at North Texas and then became a track coach in the Denton Independent School District for 14 years before serving as the Eagles' head coach for 14 years from 1983 to 1996. Six times he was voted the Southland Conference's cross country Coach of the Year.
