North Texas Athletics Hall of Fame
Dan McAlister ran track and played football and basketball back when the school was called Denton Normal College.
He later coached and was the principal at Denton High School from 1923 to 1941, where his teams won two state championships and his 1930 squad earned a berth in the national high school tournament.
