North Texas Athletics Hall of Fame
A center on the football team, Bill Cooper was a two-time captain of the Eagles in 1916 and 1919.
He is also recognized as being the first person to bring an eagle as a mascot to North Texas, and later became the school's head track coach from 1942 to 1947.
