DALLAS, Texas -
North Texas diver Catherine Johnson won first place on both the one and three-meter boards in today's dual against SMU. With only two event wins in the meet, the Mean Green fell to the Mustangs 141-96.

"Overall this was Catherine's most solid performance this season, coming around just in time for the conference championships" said assistant coach Jim Pyrch. "The divers have combined skills they've learned over the past five months and were able to get a handle on them, making them comfortable going into the C-USA championships."

On the swimming side, North Texas fell short in three races. Jana Burkard finished second in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:40.35, Krista Rossum was just out-touched in the 400IM (4:25.33), and Mona Groteguth was the runner-up in the 200 backstroke (58.55).

The Mean Green swimming and diving team head to College Station, Texas to take on the No. 3-ranked Aggies tomorrow, Feb. 1, at 11 a.m.
