The global vision of the College of Pharmacy is described in our motto: “We make healthcare better”.

Our motto reflects the increasing contribution to healthcare that can be provided by doctors of pharmacy trained in the highly interprofessional and primary care environment present at the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC).  Our focus is on the patient. Making healthcare better crucially depends upon improved teamwork of a variety of healthcare professionals and improved access for patients.  Doctors of pharmacy involved in disease and medication management make healthcare better by increasing safety, improving outcomes, and reducing costs.

Our motto also extends to the contributions that our faculty, postdoctoral associates, graduate students, and research staff make to the development of new and more effective therapies for the promotion of health and treatment of disease.
