Yes this is my favorite holiday because it's the only time you hear that all my family can come into town shrimp on the barbie isn't a real is a real thing in Australia at Christmas time except we call it pulling on the Bobby so drones are a biggest shrimp and we put in garlic and it's delicious and it does look different in Australia he was flip flops and shorts leaves cuz it's really hot on Christmas day we go down to the Beach after a big lunch and we play at Beach crickets I think the big difference is there's a lot of more of celebrating so there's a lot more dancing my mom my brother my sister we all go to church for probably about five to seven hours I know that is pretty long but um we go there and celebrate uh our lord jesus christ and then we have uh kind of like a little party like after the church service and then we'll go home and have my kind of like a Thanksgiving feast but it will just be like all like after foods are like jill authorize full fl uh Like all that kind of exotic stuff first decorated Christmas tree was in riga Latvia we have these clips that we would clip into the tree and it would have a candle uh that we would like we get gifts from Santa uh which is the same but to receive the gift everybody uh needs to do a performance it could be a poem or dance or a song uh we get a lot of snow in Latvia and um whenever I'm there I've been lucky enough to have a White Christmas We do not celebrate Christmas day we only celebrate Christmas eve and we open presents Christmas eve we go to midnight Mass um we have we sing polish songs together the first thing you eat at dinner it's a soup it's called bashed um it has mushrooms in it and Super delicious my favorite Christmas dessert I'm making with my dad every year it's called 70 it's kind of like a cheesecake but it's Super thick we have a lot of religious kind of aspects we'll put up a cross and will put up a little you know she's Suzanne says stuff like that Christmas Jimmy it's like the four sundays the event um that's pretty much my starts in the first the first event and then you go through different stages usually the 20 forth cuz that's why we celebrate Christmas to eat at the 20 fourth so we still decorated but not really with lights we have like a snowman outside or deer on the replace and our in our front yard it's big from a young age you always it yes with the President but it's also you know it's happy it's joyful it's spending Time with your family everybody is nice to you you're nice to everybody Compared to you guys we celebrate Christmas on January seventh we celebrate on January seventh because we follow the gregorian calendar our celebration starts 40 days before Christmas and we got meat and dairy completely and on the night of January seventh we will go to church pray all night and then we go to our families and we celebrate it all together When I think about Christmas in Poland I think about food family and snow 20 fifth and the 26 it's like our days when we like get together and just spend time together just chill with presence and all of that and my favorite Christmas food is uh our like Christmas it's basically like be true uh soap like mushrooms and uh we have 12 dishes that like you have to try every single one of it When Christmas we we try to get the the most actually like our family is like a big tree and everybody's come down from like I like our entire family our cousins everybody that comes to our House and have a great time we have puff so I kinda like uh like a fried uh pancake almost so it's a little different than the traditional Christmas like Thanksgiving type food that you know other people to eat is something about Christmas as it makes it's like a awesome
