The Student Portraits Symposium, sponsored by University Information Services, Data, Analytics and Institutional Research and the Division of Student Affairs, is an annual gathering of faculty, staff and students to share data and best practices impacting retention and student success.

Student Portraits Symposium: National Trends and What They Mean for Texas Students
Keynote by Ernest Ezeugo, Policy Director at the National Campus Leadership Council

Ernest Ezeugo is the policy director for the National Campus Leadership Council (NCLC), an organization committed to elevating student leadership in higher education. There, he leads the organization's policy work, translating the voice of students across the country into actionable federal and state policy priorities. He also manages the Student Policy Alliance, a forthcoming coalition of intercollegiate student government organizations dedicated to assuring that students are prioritized in higher education policymaking. Prior to joining NCLC, Ernest was a program associate with the Education Policy program at New America, where he worked with the higher education initiative to conduct research on the ethics of predictive analytics, economic mobility, and public opinion. He has also served in the Department of Education, where he supported the Obama administration's educational technology efforts.
