Softball To Host Three Charity Games

The North Texas softball team has announced it will host three charity games for the 2011 season. For the fourth straight season, the Mean Green will hold a Play for Kay Game, benefiting DFW's Leukemia Lymphoma Society, and a Strikeout Cancer Game. North Texas will also host a third charity game on March 30 to raise money and awareness for the Wounded Warrior Project. With all three games, the softball program will sell t-shirts and accept donations at the entrance in lieu of admission. The Play For Kay Game is set for Wednesday, March 9 in a doubleheader at 2 p.m. against Missouri State. In its fourth year, the charity game is named on behalf of Kay Johnson, a North Texas employee who is in remission from leukemia. Buy your t-shirt now!
