Swim and Dive Heads to Invitationals this Weekend

DENTON – North Texas swimming and diving will be in split action at two separate meets this weekend. The swimmers will be headed to Lawrence, KS while the divers will head to Houston.
 
Both events will begin Friday and run through Sunday.
 
The Mean Green go into this weekend at 1-1 after dropping a dual to SMU their last time out.
 
Swimming - Kansas Classic - Nov. 22-24 - University of Kansas - Lawrence, KS
 
The North Texas swimmers will be competing in the seventh annual Kansas Classic, an event that the Mean Green took third place at a year ago. Junior Leigh Faires McGee was named to the All-Invite team in 2018 after having the highest individual finish by a North Texas swimmer by placing fourth in the 1650-Yard freestyle with a time of 16:58.93.
 
McGee will be looking to build off of her already impressive start to the season. The Jackson, Mississippi native has recorded six top-three finishes and three individual so far this season.

Diving - Phill Hansel Invitational - Nov. 22-24 - University of Houston - Houston, TX
 
The Mean Green divers will head to Houston to compete in the Phill Hansel Invitational, an event where North Texas placed 12th at a year ago.
 
North Texas will be headed to Houston for the second time this season after they placed fourth at the Houston Diving Invitational Oct. 11-12.
